DUPR and SwingVision Partner to Connect AI-Powered Match Analysis with Real-Time Player Ratings

DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) and SwingVision have announced a partnership designed to give pickleball players greater visibility into their performance and development.

The integration brings live DUPR rating updates into the SwingVision experience, allowing players to track changes in their ratings as they compete, analyze their performance, and improve their game.

By combining DUPR’s global rating system with SwingVision’s AI-powered match recording, statistics, and video analysis, the partnership connects two essential components of player development: understanding how you’re playing and measuring how you’re improving.

“At DUPR, our goal is to give every pickleball player a clear understanding of where they stand and a pathway to get better,” said Tito Machado, CEO of DUPR. “SwingVision brings incredible technology to the court, giving players additional insights into their performance. By connecting those insights with DUPR ratings, we’re creating more ways for players to understand their progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and take the next step in their development.”

Turning Match Insights Into Measurable Improvement

SwingVision uses artificial intelligence to automatically record and analyze pickleball matches through an iPhone or iPad, providing players with detailed statistics, shot analysis, highlights, and performance insights.

With the addition of live DUPR rating updates, players now have greater visibility into how their competitive results translate into changes in their rating.

The combined experience gives players more ways to understand their performance and track their development. By pairing match video with actionable insights and DUPR rating data, players can identify areas for improvement, follow their progress, and make more informed decisions about their game.

“At SwingVision, we believe every player should have access to the same level of technology and insights as the pros,” said Swupnil Sahai, Co-Founder and CEO of SwingVision. “Partnering with DUPR allows us to take that experience even further by connecting our AI-powered performance analysis with a globally recognized rating system. Players can not only see how they’re performing on the court, but also track how they’re improving over time. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead to bring video analysis, ratings, and professional coaching together to make player development more accessible than ever.”

Building a More Complete Player Development Experience

The October launch represents the first phase of a broader collaboration between DUPR and SwingVision, with both organizations exploring additional ways to connect technology, ratings, and professional coaching.

A key area of future development is creating a more accessible pathway for players to receive a Coach-Assigned DUPR rating through DUPR’s network of credentialed coaches.

Through this envisioned experience, unrated players would be able to use SwingVision to capture match footage and share it with a credentialed DUPR Coach for professional evaluation and potential assignment of an initial DUPR rating.

Beyond the initial rating, coaches and players could continue leveraging SwingVision’s technology to analyze performance, identify areas for improvement, and guide ongoing training. This would create a more comprehensive development journey with video analysis, professional coaching, match results, and rating progression.

The long-term vision is to make player development more accessible, measurable, and actionable, whether someone is picking up a paddle for the first time or working toward their next competitive milestone.

The live DUPR rating integration is now available in SwingVision, with additional collaborative features planned for future development.
