PlanMyPickle brings one-tap DUPR results to organizers

You just ran a full day of round robins. The last ball is dead, the courts are emptying, and the only thing standing between you and the drive home is a spreadsheet full of scores. PlanMyPickle wants to remove that step.

PlanMyPickle, the app for running pickleball tournaments, leagues and clubs, is now an official DUPR partner. Organizers can run a DUPR-sanctioned event from registration to final score in one place. When play ends, sending every result to DUPR takes a single tap.

What the PlanMyPickle partnership means for you

For organizers, it means less admin at the end of a long day. For players, it means your results land on your rating faster, and they land accurately.

“We finished the last match, tapped Import to DUPR, and every result was on the players’ ratings before they left the parking lot,” said Rolando Naranjo, founder of PlanMyPickle. “Organizers shouldn’t have to retype a spreadsheet at the end of a long day. The work they already did running the event should be enough.”

That matters more than it sounds. Results from sanctioned club and tournament play carry more weight in your DUPR rating than self-posted rec games. The cleaner the data coming in, the more your rating reflects how you actually played.

How PlanMyPickle sends results to DUPR

The whole process runs in three steps:

  1. Players connect their DUPR account. Players sign in with DUPR directly inside the app, so the rating on every roster and player page is their real, verified DUPR rating.
  2. Organizers set up the event. Divisions, schedules, live scoring, court calls and a TV scoreboard all live in PlanMyPickle.
  3. One tap sends the results. After the event, the organizer taps Import to DUPR. Every completed match goes to DUPR with the right players, teams and scores.

No retyping. No matching names to IDs. No scores lost between the court and the rating.

Tested at a real DUPR-sanctioned event

PlanMyPickle ran its first DUPR-sanctioned event on August 26 in Chula Vista, California. It was a doubles round robin with 11 players and 16 matches.

All 16 results reached DUPR.

More than a scoresheet

DUPR integration is the headline, but PlanMyPickle covers the rest of the event day too. Organizers get:

  • Round robins, pools and playoffs
  • MLP-style team events
  • Perpetual leagues and ladders
  • QR code check-in
  • A live TV board with announcer-style court calls

Players get their schedule, scores and player page right on their phone, so nobody has to crowd around the bracket sheet to find their next court.
