What is DUPR Coach?

DUPR Coach is DUPR's official coach credential, designed to help coaches grow their businesses while providing players with trusted, standardized skill assessments. Who should become a DUPR Coach?

DUPR Coach is designed for pickleball coaches, teaching professionals, Directors of Pickleball, club leaders, and anyone looking to provide structured player assessments and player development.

Do I need to be PPR, PCI or RSPA certified?

Yes. To become a DUPR Coach, you must hold a current certification from a recognized pickleball coaching education organization. DUPR Coach accepts certifications from major organizations, including PPR, RSPA, RPO, RPPk, IPTPA, PCI, and other approved coaching education programs.

Is DUPR Coach a replacement for my existing coaching certification?

No. DUPR Coach complements existing coaching certifications by providing coaches with the ability to assess players and assign Coach-Assigned DUPR Ratings using DUPR's standardized assessment process.

How much does it cost?

The standard annual DUPR Coach subscription is $250 USD. Discounted pricing may be available through select partner organizations.

What is included with my certification?

The ability to assign Coach-Assigned DUPR Ratings, a listing on the DUPR Coach Map, a public coach profile on DUPR, coach training and credentialing, marketing resources and assets, ongoing product updates and support, and access to future DUPR Coach tools and features.

How long does certification take?

Most coaches complete the certification process in just a few hours, although you can complete it at your own pace.

How do I assign Coach-Assigned DUPR Ratings?

Once credentialed, you'll assess eligible players using the DUPR Coach assessment process and submit their Coach-Assigned DUPR Rating directly through the DUPR Coach platform.

Can I rate players remotely?

Yes. DUPR Coaches can conduct remote assessments by reviewing player match footage that meets the program requirements.

How accurate are Coach-Assigned DUPR Ratings?

Coach-Assigned DUPR Ratings are generated using DUPR's standardized player assessment process. They provide players with an accurate starting rating until enough match results establish a dynamic match-based DUPR Rating.

How much can I charge for a rating session?

DUPR Coaches set their own pricing. Rates vary based on location, experience, and the services provided.

Can clubs purchase DUPR Coach for multiple coaches?

Yes. Clubs can credential multiple coaches, enabling their staff to provide Coach-Assigned DUPR Ratings, support player development, and deliver a consistent rating experience across the facility.

Will I appear on the DUPR Coach Map?

Yes. Once you've completed the credentialing process and met the program requirements, you'll be listed on the DUPR Coach Map, making it easy for players to find and contact you.

How do players find me?

Players can search the DUPR Coach Map by location and contact you directly through your coach profile.

Does my certification expire?

Yes. DUPR Coach is an annual subscription that must be renewed each year to maintain your active credential and program benefits.

Are there continuing education requirements?

To maintain active status, coaches must remain in good standing and satisfy the program's annual activity requirements. Additional continuing education opportunities may be introduced as the program continues to evolve.

What equipment do I need?

For in-person assessments, you'll need access to a pickleball court, players, and a mobile device with internet access. For remote assessments, you'll also need clear doubles match video that meets DUPR Coach submission requirements. To access the full suite of DUPR Coach tools and resources, we recommend using a tablet or computer in addition to a mobile device.

Can I coach internationally?

Yes. DUPR Coach is available in countries around the world, allowing credentialed coaches to work with players globally where the program is supported.
