Multi-court live streaming to dramatically expand Minor League Pickleball’s visibility; companies also announce mutual exclusivity across ratings and analytics, and joint development of a new composite player rating
Delray Beach, FL — April 9, 2026 — DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) and PlaySight today announced a multi-year exclusive partnership that makes PlaySight the Official AI SmartCourt Video and Analytics Partner of Minor League Pickleball (MiLP). Under the agreement, PlaySight’s AI SmartCourt cameras will serve as the exclusive live-streaming technology for MiLP Nationals — bringing multi-court broadcast coverage to the league for the first time and giving fans, players, and sponsors significantly more visibility into competitive play.
The partnership also establishes mutual exclusivity between the two companies across ratings and analytics, and launches a joint R&D program to develop a composite player rating for pickleball. The agreement builds on DUPR and PlaySight’s existing collaboration, which introduced AI-powered video-based player ratings to the sport.
The broadcast component of the deal is expected to have the most immediate impact. PlaySight’s AI SmartCourt technology — available in both fixed installations and portable configurations — enables professional-quality live streaming from multiple courts simultaneously, complete with AI-generated analytics overlays. For MiLP Nationals, this means fans will no longer be limited to watching a single featured match. Instead, every official court can be streamed live, dramatically increasing the amount of MiLP content available to viewers and raising the profile of the league, its players, and the sport overall.
PlaySight already provides this capability at scale for the Carvana PPA Tour, where its GO mobile technology streams up to 45 courts per event with live scoring overlays, bracket information, and player identification. The MiLP agreement extends that same proven infrastructure to the amateur and semi-pro levels of competitive pickleball — creating a consistent, broadcast-quality viewing experience across the sport’s two major competitive circuits.
“The single biggest thing we can do for Minor League Pickleball right now is get more matches in front of more people,” said Tito Machado, CEO of DUPR. “PlaySight gives us the ability to stream every court at Minor League Nationals — not just one featured match. That changes the equation for players who want exposure, for fans who want to follow the action, and for sponsors who want reach. Combined with what PlaySight is already doing for the PPA Tour, this means the entire competitive pickleball landscape now has professional broadcast coverage.”
DUPR will also promote PlaySight systems to all clubs and facilities hosting MiLP tournaments, with preferred pricing available to clubs that adopt the technology through their DUPR/MiLP affiliation. The more clubs that install SmartCourt systems, the more matches get captured, streamed, and analyzed — creating a growing network of connected courts that feeds content and data back into the broader pickleball ecosystem.
Beyond broadcasting, the partnership establishes full mutual exclusivity. PlaySight has adopted DUPR as its sole pickleball rating system, meaning all ratings on the PlaySight platform will use the DUPR 2.0–8.0 scale and carry the DUPR mark.
The companies will also jointly develop a composite player rating that combines DUPR’s match-outcome algorithm with PlaySight’s real-time performance data — including shot selection, court positioning, and rally patterns. The goal is to create a more complete picture of player ability than win/loss-based ratings alone can provide. Separately, the partners will explore integrating PlaySight analytics into the DUPR Reset feature, offering players a data-driven option to recalibrate their rating based on on-court performance.
“We’re already streaming up to 45 courts per event on the PPA Tour, and now we’re bringing that same capability to MiLP,” said Chen Shachar, CEO of PlaySight. “More courts streamed means more players seen, more fans engaged, and more reasons for people to pick up a paddle. That visibility effect is real — when people can actually watch the sport being played at a high level, they want to play. On top of that, the data we’re capturing across all of these courts feeds directly into the composite rating work we’re doing with DUPR. Every match streamed is also a match analyzed.”
With PlaySight now serving as the broadcast technology partner for both the PPA Tour and Minor League Pickleball through DUPR, the company’s AI SmartCourt platform is positioned as the standard broadcast infrastructure across professional and competitive amateur pickleball. For players, it means more matches seen and more performance data captured. For clubs, it means an accessible path to smart-court technology. And for the sport, it means more content reaching more viewers — driving the cycle of visibility, fandom, and participation that pickleball’s growth depends on.
