Austin Pickle Ranch has quickly established itself as a standout in the Texas pickleball scene and beyond. Currently ranked #5 in the March 2026 DUPR Club Pickleball Rankings, the club is earning recognition not just for its level of play, but for the way it brings people together around the sport.

Since opening about a year and a half ago, the 50,000-square-foot facility has grown into a welcoming hub for players of all levels. With a mix of indoor and outdoor courts, along with a design that prioritizes comfort and thoughtful acoustics, the space supports everything from casual social games to more competitive match play.

Austin Pickle Ranch was also named by DUPR Coach as the first official DUPR Assessment Center in Texas, reflecting its focus on player development and accurate pickleball ratings. Led by their director, who’s a DUPR Coach Vanguard member and supported by a team of certified coaches, the club continues to build a strong foundation for both new and experienced players.

Elevating Pickleball with DUPR

At Austin Pickle Ranch, DUPR is at the heart of everything they do. Jeff, the club’s director, shared:

“DUPR has made our programming better, plain and simple. When players know they're matched with people at their level, the games are more competitive and everyone has more fun.”

From skill-based clinics to open plays, the club leverages DUPR to create fair, competitive, and fun matches. Each DUPR Coach-Assigned rating session is carefully structured, with two DUPR coaches present at every session, making it the first facility in the U.S. offering this level of support, which ensures accuracy, consistency, and integrity for players. 

So far, the club has recorded about 20,000 matches, rated over 400 players, and continues expanding its DUPR offering.

Community Meets Competition

Competition is only part of the story. Austin Pickle Ranch hosts everything from an annual Lunar New Year celebration to ladies' nights. Their social events are just as intentional as their competitive programming. Jeff shared,

“Pickleball is the hook, but the community is the reason people stay. They come for a league night and end up with a whole new friend group."

With DUPR’s guidance, the club ensures that players of all levels can learn the pickleball rules, track their pickleball ratings, and enjoy their first pickleball tournament.

DUPR Reset

Better programming starts with better data. Austin Pickle Ranch believes that the more accurate its player ratings are, the better every session feels. That's why they’re going all in on DUPR Reset. Jeff shared:

“We're building our programming around DUPR Reset because we think it matters. We've updated our Ranch Plays so any player can complete their required matches in two sessions. Show up twice, you're done. We wanted to remove every barrier to participation and that's exactly what we did.”

The club is also integrating digital signage, social, email and targeted communications to keep players informed about upcoming events and DUPR Reset updates. The goal is to make participation seamless and engaging.

A Hub for All 

Austin Pickle Ranch’s mission is simple: everyone deserves a place to play. So that's what they built. A place where anyone can walk in, find their game, and want to come back next week. Their programming ranges from social play to intense DUPR ratings matches, with each event carefully structured using player data to keep games fair and engaging.

“We want every player who walks in here to get better. Whether they're brand-new to DUPR or have been an avid player for years, we're building programming that meets them where they are,” Jeff says.

Through strategic use of DUPR ratings, coaching insights, and community-focused programming, Austin Pickle Ranch is setting a new standard for pickleball clubs in Texas and across the U.S.
