The DUPR Reset was created for players who want a way to reassess their rating using recent match results. It is a structured performance review based entirely on your most recent match results. If you believe your level has improved or outdated results are holding your DUPR back, prove it during the upcoming Reset Period.

The DUPR Reset is completely optional and completely risk-free. After the Reset Period ends, a player’s DUPR is set to the higher of their Reset rating or original rating.

Nothing is lost by participating.

Reset Overview

  • The DUPR Reset gives players the option to reassess their rating within a defined window, called the Reset Period.
  • Participation is optional. This is for players who want an opportunity to reset their rating using recent results.
  • Only matches played during the Reset Period are used to calculate a player’s Reset rating.
  • If a player’s Reset rating does not increase, their original rating is automatically kept.

Upcoming Reset Period

  • March 16, 2026 – May 17, 2026

Registration

  • Cost: $34.99 per player (all sales are final).
  • Players may choose to register or not. Opting in is entirely up to the player.
  • Players may register ahead of the Reset Period, allowing their Reset window to begin on the official start date.
  • Players may also register after the Reset Period has started. In that case, their Reset window begins the day after they register.
  • Regardless of when a player registers, the Reset window always ends on the official Reset Period end date.
  • The date a player registers is considered their registration date.

Rules

  • Players must complete a minimum of 8 matches with at least 2 different partners (for doubles) or 8 matches against at least 2 different opponents (for singles).
  • There is no maximum number of matches or partners.
  • If the minimum requirements are not met, the player’s rating reverts to their original rating.
  • All match results are eligible to count toward the Reset rating and minimum requirements except self-reported matches.
  • Self-reported matches are excluded from the Reset entirely.

How It Works

  • The DUPR Reset allows players to update their rating using only matches played during the Reset Period, with no downside.
  • Only matches played during the Reset Period are used to calculate the Reset rating.
  • Matches played outside the Reset Period will continue to update a player’s DUPR rating normally.
  • A player’s DUPR rating will continue to update as usual during the Reset Period as new match results are entered.
  • All Reset Period matches must be submitted by May 20, 2026. Matches submitted after this date will not be included in the Reset.
  • Once all Reset matches are processed, a player’s DUPR rating will reflect the higher of:
    • their Reset rating, or
    • their original rating
  • If the Reset does not result in a higher rating, the player’s original rating is kept. There is no scenario where a rating goes down due to Reset.
  • For players who registered before March 16, 2026, the original rating is their rating as of the end of day on March 15, 2026.
  • For players who registered on or after March 16, 2026, the original rating is their rating as of the end of day on their registration date.
