Costa Rica-born club management platform teams up with the world’s leading pickleball rating system to help clubs modernize, connect communities, and support the next stage of the sport’s growth throughout the region.
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, and Latin America is quickly becoming one of its most exciting frontiers. From Costa Rica to Mexico, Colombia to Brazil, new clubs are opening, tournaments are multiplying, and players are showing up in bigger numbers every season.
That growth comes with a new challenge: clubs need modern technology to keep pace with an increasingly connected, competitive community.
Enter the new partnership between DUPR (Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating) and PICKCR, a strategic collaboration built to strengthen the digital backbone of pickleball clubs, players, and tournament organizers across Latin America.
Two Platforms, One Ecosystem
The partnership pairs DUPR’s globally trusted rating system with PICKCR’s all-in-one club management platform, giving clubs and players a single connected experience built around how the sport actually runs day to day.
PICKCR was founded in Costa Rica by Rodrigo Mejías, who saw pickleball’s rapid rise creating real operational headaches for clubs and tournament directors. César Salazar later joined as Co-Founder, bringing his background as an international player and longtime advocate for the sport’s growth in the region.
Working directly with club owners, coaches, and players, the founders kept running into the same problem: the sport was scaling fast, but the technology behind it wasn’t keeping up. Clubs were juggling separate systems for reservations, payments, and communication. Tournament directors were building brackets by hand. Players were hunting across social media and group chats just to find a place to play.
So PICKCR built one platform to solve it all, covering court reservations, Open Play, Round Robins, tournament management, official DUPR integration, memberships, rankings, coaching, clinics, payments, club communications, and analytics, plus a built-in accounting system for club finances.

A Smoother Path to Competitive Play
With DUPR functionality now built directly into PICKCR, clubs and organizers can manage DUPR-rated events more efficiently, while players get a smoother path from registration to results. Registrations, scheduling, score reporting, and official ratings all run inside one connected system, less admin, more play.
“Our goal has never been simply to develop software,” said César Salazar, Co-Founder of PICKCR. “We believe pickleball grows when communities grow. Our mission is to bring clubs, players, coaches, and organizers together inside one digital ecosystem that removes barriers, simplifies operations, and creates more opportunities for everyone to participate. This partnership with DUPR represents another important step toward that vision.”
“PICKCR started with a simple observation: clubs deserved technology built specifically for pickleball,” added Rodrigo Mejías, Founder of PICKCR. “Everything we’ve developed since then has been guided by one objective, to help clubs spend less time managing operations and more time growing their communities.”
Built in Costa Rica, Built for the Region
Costa Rica has quietly become one of Central America’s most active pickleball hubs, with a growing network of clubs, tournaments, and players, the kind of environment where technology gets built around real needs instead of guesswork.
While PICKCR started in Costa Rica, its ambitions never stopped at the border. The company plans to expand across Central America first, then into additional Latin American markets, giving clubs of every size access to modern management tools while strengthening ties across the region’s pickleball community.
More Than Software
Alongside the platform, PICKCR is launching PICKCR Impact, a long-term social initiative focused on expanding access to the sport. The program will work with clubs, schools, coaches, volunteers, and sponsors to grow youth pickleball, bring the sport into schools, donate equipment, support adaptive pickleball, and open the game to more players across the region.
As DUPR and PICKCR see it, the future of pickleball in Latin America won’t be built by technology alone, it’ll be built by connected communities, with the right tools behind them.
